lancer oz turbo?

lancer oz turbo?

i got a OZ and want to drop a turbo in it.
can i do it on the stock engine at 6psi or do i need to the all that other stuff first like crankshaft, header and so on??

im pretty sure u can run 6psi on the stock engine, but then again i walk into walls when i get up in the morning =/

im pretty sure it was 5psi stock, after that u should watch out for pistons and rods. ask Boe he is the master of turbo

i no that psi is used to measure the amount of turbo but what does it stand for.

BTW hows ur lancer goin liquid?

Now by damage, if you mean blowing something up in the engine suddenly, then 6 psi is safe. But if you mean putting extra stress on the engine therefore giving up its reliability and not being able to last long, then maybe you should look into N/A mods.

NA mods making 175HP or boost making 175HP extra stress will be the same. I will say that if you push stock components to far they will pop. There are many products developed to keep safety and longevity of motor. Some of the earlier turbo'd guys already have 20k miles on setup... i've gotten about 8k on mine. Those of us with turbo's will keep people posted as to any motor problems but remember either NA or Turbo when you go performance moding you give up some longevity the farther you go, no matter what, when using stock parts.

not how hes running but is he finished putting all the parts he got on or is his lancer still butt naked just like the last time i checked

hey boe when u buy the turbo kit from RRM do they powder coat it for u any color u want or just some specific colors?
