starteling problem

first off

05 evo 8MR 44K

i have started modding the car a while back

these are the mods to date
3inch TBE
injen intake Upper/lower
TS test pipe
megan 02
NGK7
ported stock manifold

So the car has run great however Yesterday i instaled the test pipe for my car i took off the high flow cat. The car was spiking 1.4 bars and simmering down to 1.3/1.2 before the test pipe install

now since i have put the testpipe in i have noticed ( happend 3 times) that in 2nd gear as i put it to the floor and RPMs start to rise it takes off like a bat outa hell. but once the RPMs reach 6400 i loud POP! and the car lost all power it was still running but it wasnt acrelerating. now i was still in gear and still flooring it soo i dont think it was back fire!?!?!?

i was scared ****less so i got out of the car looked around thinking i was gona see oil or something F-ed up but there was nothing! now no boost pipes fell off because it can still build boost just fine! i drove the car some more and no problems accelerating. later in the day i have to same incedent! 2nd gear 6400 RPMs

i try to do another pull to see if it happens i noticed that im running alot more boost! the needel is going past 1.5 bars so im guessing its around 1.6 and then it holds 1.5 to redline!

i think that my problem is that i am running a stock fuel pump i think i need to get a WALLY255.
i dont think the stock fuel pump can get enough fuel to the engine at thouse speeds making the cars fuel cut out at 6400rpms

now would an 02/ported stock/ and test pipe make my car run that much higher boost?!?!
i know there is less back pressure but DAMN!

i have no boost controler and i have not had a tune at all.

any info would help

Any ideas?

I should be running stock boost settings so i dont know why its so high?

never messed with the boost at all!

just let it flow better now.

i plan on getting Cams, 255 fuel, and a boost controler. Then after that taking it to AMS for its first tune.

do you have it tune? You maybe running super lean and have to be careful unless you're untuned. There maybe not enough fuel supplied, especially when you took the most restrictive part of your exhuast system out. Your ECU is cutting fuel since there is so much air. Get a MBC, fuel pump, then tune and you'll be okay. I had the same problem you had, now it runs like a champ after I tuned it with my walboro,MBC.

its untuned

i just orderd a 255 from lancershop.com

i wonder if i will be ok after installing the 255. i would really like to get cams and boost controler before the tune

because i want to put it on a dyno and have AMS tune it which means i have to drive 6 hours away.

i doubt just a fp is going to help you. you are still going to be boosting higher than stock psi causing you to hit fuel cut. this problem will not be solved until you get a mbc and a tune
