Better brands of gas?

First off i searched and found nothing on this topic so if there is something i apologize in advance for my poor search skills. My question is about brands of gas such as chevron, bp, shell or what ever. I swear when i get gas at chevron i get way better mileage than when i get it at other stations as if their gas was lower quality or burns faster? is that even possible?

I had some Bush's for lunch, no complaints yet.

I don't think so, I just fill up whoever is the cheapest. I always average the same MPT, so I'm not too worried.

All gas is the same, the only differences are the additives. Any national brand will do just fine. The uber cheap brands are usually the ones with the bare minimum legally required additives.

There are some really old threads that talk about how 76 has the highest MON (motor octane number or whatever), which is what you care about. I too, am just too lazy to search hehe. I usually go for them if I'm not staying local and filling up on Cenex. To answer your question the quicker burning gas probably has ethanol in it which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The station usually posts it if it contains any or not.. usually up to 10%.

*edit im a moron and thought you had an evo* go about your business lol

i used V-power in my origin country where i came from, so use it here too.
I think the Shell always used good add ons.. Also we never had a bad gas issue with V-power.

i use Shell 91-93octane in the Land Rover. i use Sunoco GT Plus 104octane only in the EVO.

all the major brands of gas are backed from most car manufacturers (since they all come from the same source)but Shell is the only one backed by Ferrari.

i know Cali & AZ use a "special blend" of gas made just for them due to the heat in the summertime. during the other 6mos, they get the same gas every1 else uses.

i would say Shell, Sunoco (tie), BP, Chevron in that order.

i don't buy exxon/mobil gas cuz that corporation is the most greedy sniveling bastards ever to run a fuel facility...

Shell 93 V-power FTW. If I can't find a Shell BP Amoco will suffice.
