Probably Buying an Evo IX
I guess it depends on what your trying to do.
1. MR - For a daily driver that won't be heavily modified the MR is a nice car but probably still not worth the extra money. This is the only way to get the 6 speed, it's weaker than the 5 speed. Most prefer the 5 for longevity and power handling capability. The MR suspension is a nice touch but could be added to a GSR afterwards.
2. GSR - Get the SE package, it has the aluminum roof and the HID's and BBS wheels. Best value by far. The 5 speed is stronger than the 6. SSL adds weight and is expensive.
3. RS - probably wont find a new one this late in the game, Use this if your planning on building a monster or on a tight budget, or just want the best perfmance for the least money.

When I bought my Evo the MR made sense and it was available in my area, If I had it to do over I would get a WW car, preferably a RS or something with the SE package.

I dont know if you want to buy used i have mine for sale, evo ix, silver. Its the SE model, so it comes with leather seats and HID's
