hood duct anyone?

i think the hood duct at roadrace.com would be really cool. does anyone have it? how is the installation process? pics would also be great

whatevah man to u 2..it doesn't look bad to me (all that matters) and increased the airflow through my engine. my OZ is faster than yours sucka!

faster than mine? faster than yellowoz_man's? just cuz you got a hole in your hood that feeds alittle extra air into your filter... ok... and for your info me and yellowoz_man both have Injen intakes that more than likely provide a larger gain in hp than your filter. anyway if you didnt want critism you shouldnt have posted your pics.

nah, I wanted to know what ya'll thought. but for yo 411, I got the RMR intake with the biggest available filter, and exhaust...

my oz is still faster than yours suckaz

b-the lancer comes with a air induction scoop from behind the grill already. This piece is to augment air flow into the filter

i mean't mounting the scoop on the underside of the hood and not on top of the hood

with the tip the way it is, underside mounting would do no good. it'd create a reservoir or air with little to no benefit. it was definetly meant for the top of the hood.

I could be wrong

But I'm pretty sure B means bottom mount like when you bottom mount a speaker. So that the top of the lip isn't exposed, but rather flush with the inner side of the hood. Correct me if I'm wrong.

****!!!! wish I had thought of that then...yeah that probably would look much cleaner...damn, template would have been much easier to draw up, but for accuracy of doing just one cut, dropping it in was what seemed most logical to me. would like to see someone else do it bottom mounted now
