Do most that change their clutch to an aftermarket one only do it once?

As long as you don't abuse the crap out of it...meaning don't treat an AWD rally car like it's a friggin RWD drag car and you should be fine.

Driver mod > all other mods.

It really seems to be a combo between your mods and your driving style. I've seen people with a stock clutch that have mid 300's hp and doing fine for a long time I believe there is a thread that says the stock clutchs' limit is ~350 ft-lbs. So, as long as you're not at a high hp and don't drive like an angry teenager than you should be decent

What year is your car?

My suggestion if you bought it used would have been to put the exedy in. If something goes, act dumb at dealership and act as if you had no idea it was in there,

Input shafts seem to be hard to beat up, but syncros always wanna go on transmission beaters.

Put the exedy in... The whole transmission dont even cost $6,000 so i dont know what individual part costs that much.

re-do it

even if he acts dumb and he has an aftermarket clutch, its not going to help him at the dealer. they will still void stuff....i dont understand that comment

i think its just a scare to get you to buy a stock clutch from them, pay them to install, and they make money.....its all about screwing you at the dealer

current street price for a complete EVO street clutch/flywheel install (including parts and labor) should be around $1300-1500 installed.

Labor alone should be no more than $700 per job (including fluids)

depending on where you live. some areas have higher cost of living hence higher labor rates.
