What happens to used IX prices when the X drops???

basically what the title states...I am buying an evo as my next car (once i sell mine)...wandering if I should wait for the X to drop...

will it mean the IX prices goes down bc more will be avaliable? should i wait til jan/feb or just buy now...or do you think the IX will be bought up as soon as they are for sale?

any opinion helps...

Just buy one now. Otherwise the one you buy will probably have more miles on them. Start looking now, and that way you have more time to find one.

yeah u can get one now for less km's

but if it follows basic economics, the 9 prices should drop when the X hits, wont be instant overnight, but with time and newer models prices drop

The price of 8s did not drop when 9 came out. Some will always like the 8/9s better than the 10. prices will not likely drop at all.

I don't think you can compare the drop for the 8 when the 9 came out to the 9 when the 10 comes out. It's a whole new car. We should see a ton of used 9's pop up all over the place.

Hell if i had it my way I would find a 9 with a blown motor, blown trans, missing wheels and stuff. lol

Performance of the X isn't quite as good as the ix, and I doubt it will respond to mods like the ix either. The IX will hold its value, as there are always people who want the best performing and modding car available... and the IX is it.

there is always people who want the newest thing to and will sell there fingers and ix to get there trust me my roomate has a ix special edition black he got last oct for his b-day and when the 10 comes out it will be gone and he might miss it but maybe not we dont no much about the 10 other then the stock 0-60 is slower really so we cant say how it will do to mods so its not even a factor really

Nothing will change. The IX will depreciate at the rate it was going to regardless of the X being released. Buy what will make you happy and let that be the end of it. You'll end up shoulda-coulda-woulda'ing yourself to death regardless if you buy the IX or X.
