New Evo IX's (Regular or SE) at any dealerships?
Hi guys, it's me again. Was just wondering if there were any dealerships with new regular IX's for sale on the lot not charging MSRP. Had a deal with another dealership, but he sold it to another guy... I would prefer PM's if possible, I know the competition for getting an evo is pretty heavy at the moment so, any feedback is appreciated. Thanks!
you can find them... you might have to have one shipped but they are around...
use the mitsubishi website to search the inventories around you... you will probably find a few on the lots.. might not be the colors you want but if you really want one you probably won't have a problem there... hopefully you like apex silver... : )
e-mail the dealerships and let them know you are interested... for a new evo ix you will likely be paying MSRP... be wary of dealers who say they can get you anything you want... prolly won't be happening... some dealerships aren't releasing their inventory to other dealers...
good luck... the cars are out there... just have your checkbook ready and you can find them...

Good luck, honestly. If there are some left, it would be very few. You can try contacting your local dealership and having them call around to the different mitsu dealers to see if there are any left. That would be your best bet!
Better yet, call your local dealership and leave a deposit.
A little deposit goes a long way in differentiating you from a serious buyer and a tire kicker.
Good luck in your search, and I wholeheartedly agree... I hope you like Apex Silver. =).

Anyone who would pay MSRP on a 2 year old car with the replacement model a couple months out, is a complete dope. On an MR, you are losing like $10k when you drive off the lot.
well yodo... i 'spose you could call people who pay MSRP for a 'new' EVO IX dopes (so eloquent by the way) but they still have a 'new' EVO IX..
i guess final judgement will have to wait until the X comes out... but if i was going to buy a car like a IX or a X.. i'd be going IX..
fact is that there aren't tons out there to be had and you can either buy one when you find one... or haggle your brains out over $1000 bucks.. to each his own...

i bought mine new in March of this year. I stumbled on it actually in the show room (i was next door looking at an S2000). I was curious since it was a 2006, but new? and the sales person told me thats the last of them and this one had been sitting for a while. it was an SE (didnt know they had that trim) and black... after a few friends said to jump on it, because they dont make them anymore, i did. Sticker (msrp/options) came out to 37k. Took me the entire day, but i managed 34k drive out. (sale price around 32k)
I thought i could negotiate because it was obvious it sat for a while... but trust me it was no easy negotiation... i think dealers know people want them.
Good luck on your hunt though. (and i think its worth buying it new, especially on a high performance car)

I agree. I would pay invoice at the most, but I still wouldn't buy it at invoice, probably at least a thousand or two off invoice. I got my 2007 S2000 back June for 28,000 before TTL and MSRP for the S2000 is 34,000.
