New Evo old SVT...

Well, Just wanted to say hi to everyone and i'm glad im finaly on the site.

I bought a 06 Evo IX SE Black in April after trading in my beloved SVT Focus- Loved the car, but wanted to go up a notch. I Raced with my Evo all summer through AutoX and wanted to hit some road corses... but didnt.

I'm looking to make my car more of just and Overall not to agressive track car that i can still easly drive on the streets. My Evo is in storage for the winter so now i get to ponder upon how i want to make my Evo better. These are my goals...

1. Reduce Turbo lag and but power to 330-360 hp at the wheels.

2. Do a few little suspension upgrades...

3. Put some more rubber on the ground, love the tires i have now, but i would like to fit alittle bit more rubber and keep the stock rim.

So i'll leave it up to the Evo freaks on the site to help me, Rip me apart!

I hate to sound like to much of a newb... but i dont know what all the FMIC's and stuff means. Is there an acurnym (spelling) page on here that can translate this for me?

Anywho, i'm putter her in storage because of money. I'll get more back on issurance, and i got alot of unplanned expences that kinda poped up. I have a Ford Festiva, though not as fun as my evo, i can still have fun with the little **** and not have to worry about if that car gets rammed into, or keyed.

The hp numbers you are hoping for will depend a lot on the brand dyno your tuner tunes with. With the parts most of these people have in their sigs, you should be able to come close to that power on any dyno. The thing that will help with the lag part is a ported manifold, hotside, and better O2 housing. Also, once you get a tune, the tuner should be able to "tweak" the ECU MIVEC controlling and it will also help with boost response. Mine dropped from 24psi @ 3800 to 24psi @ 3550 with meth. Some 100 octane on a race tune will also pull a good bit more power out of the car. Good luck.
