Most definitely the Evo for me, but I'm largely biased. I know a lot of people with STIs so not only do I not want to be a follower, I also know the pain they have to deal with. Plus I have just started modding my Evo so I basically am starting from scratch.

That is really such a personalized question.

For one the STI and Evo are both great stock cars and left stock or with the absolute minimum in mods I probably would just take an STI over an Evo. However since the mod bug run feverishly through my veins I depend greatly on the Evo's easily accessible engine and ability to take bolt ons. Sure the STI takes bolts on well too but just try to install a set of cams... nightmare.

So here we are back at base one, not to imitate a commercial but only YOU can decide whats right for you.

What RoadSpike said - if you are going to keep it stock and are most concerned about it being a dd and financial perspectives (???) then you might want to go the STI route. If you want to start dropping mods on the batch then I would recommend the Evo.

Personally I like the Evo just fine as a dd - the interior is plain but a quick head unit swap goes a long way. Also, the Evo handles better stock, IMO (and most others) so that can mean a lot.

You'll be happy either which way you go (unless the other guy has a gun! ) so best of luck! Definitely take them both for a test drive and see which you like.

Starting over from scratch I would have left it stock. Modified is fun, but driving one stock is a better DD.

I would of gone straight to AMS for my build instead of going to Pruven Performance first thats my only regret.
