what is the normal amount of vacuum for an evo?

My boost gauge is reading 18-19 in HG with the idle set at a 956 rpm is this normal or should it be higher. Does this indicate a vacuum leak? Thanks guys.

I would think its high. Check the gauge. I'll be doing a few test of my own, to see if my gauge is accurate. Mine reads between 11-12 vacuum, and a little over 20psi at peak boost, then it tapers off to like 15-16psi by redline. No boost controller. From what I hear 18-19 vacuum is normal. So mine is to low and yours is to high.
