top right of the screen on most forum pages includes Home, User Cp, Register, Calendar, Members, FAQ, and Search (gray buttons)

Anyway, I brought up the idea a few months ago, as the 2.4 Ralliart would be an allowed "update" in my autocross category (STS), and I was told that how easy it is depends on if they use the same transmission or not. Other than that, motormounts might need to be changed and the rest should fit right in. I'm waiting at leats 3 years to see, though, so I'll be able to get more details before I start such a project. Hope that helps.

I don't get it, why was this thread moved? I am seriously hoping to keep updated with the posibilities of putting a 2004 Lancer engine into my car, would be the best engine swap in the history of STS class racing.

Urban, I autocross and am familiar with the update rule. As far as my research has gone, the auto tranny on the 2.4 ralliart is the same as the one used on the OZ, so it would make sense then that the 5-speed would also be similar if not the same.

Hmmm. Just trade your Lancer in for a Ralliart Lancer. Makes more sense, no?

I agree that the trannies are supposed to be the same. All reports are that the tranny matches perfect so a swap shouldnt be too difficult

tranny

i hear that the stock 5-speed in our OZ will fail under any heavy modification and that the EVO tranny is much different. anyone know if this is true?
