So BE CAREFUL. Learn to drive it! Then mod it.
That freakin sucks.

Jump up and down and be happy. Driv eit for a couple thousand miles stock- so when you do mod- you will be able to feel every gain.

ive had mine since Feb and its completely stock except for the window tint that i had done the first week i bought the car and i def agree with what everybody else has been saying...take the car out to the tracks and autocross with it and get the feel for its capabilities and go on from there...once u get a good feel for that then start modding and appreciate the gains a lot more rather than doing mods to it and not knowing the gains that u made

to start yourself out the best mods u can do at first is get a good tune, an intake, and a turbo-back exhaust and then go on from there if u want more than that...from the guys i know they still say that those were the best gains that they felt when they started out

good call jason....drive the car, figure out what direction you want to go with it..street/track/strip. drive it some more, learn the limits-when to shift, when it lets loose in corners, how hard the brakes grab the 1st and 10,000th time. then start researching parts.

enjoy!

You've got plenty of time before the super-tuned competition isht comes out. Have fun being one of the first on the road. It may not be for you, but having a unigue car is important to me, and if you can do that without mods($$) then milk it.

Congrats and welcome to EvoM. Oh yeah, and welcome to the most time/money consuming hobby... EVER!

I just here to tell you that if your getting one with the DSG tranny then you won't be able to mod it until the ECU is cracked. That should give you some time to enjoy the car for what it is and learn it's limits and just have some fun with it, cause once you start modding is when **** starts breaking.

i agree with most everyone......learn its limits! Im sure someone will have a turbo-back if they dont already, do that. And a tune when you can. Always been an easy-big gain

Don't break it in too easy or you will end up with a weak motor. Break it in like you would normally drive, unless you drive like a bastard, then drive it like a normal person would drive Don't AWD launch it till at least your first scheduled oil change lol. But in all reality, you can beat the **** out of the car from day one if you want, thats what the warranty is for.

First break it in then just learn to drive the car the way it is.after you start with the same basics as older evos filter, mbc, exhaust and etc..
