Dude, make sure you know where you are posting. This is an Evo X forum. Can't post a general Evo question here.

Yep, wrong forum. But, mine performs quite well in wet conditions but I have different tires than the stock Advans. The stock Advans are OK in the wet, but not ideal if you live in a place that gets a good amount of rain. Do you have one with ACD? Set it to Gravel when it's wet out. That helps. Other than that, handling in the rain is more about the tires than anything else.

no its not.... this is a newbie and FAQ section... which, if that is his newbie question, it would be better for him to post in the general yes, but i dont see a problem with the question in here. Maybe that is what's pending his decision to buy one or not..

Answer to the OP, they perform amazing... even better in the snow. The AWD is sweet and you will learn to drift like a PRO!!!

Calm down...the mods moved the thread into this forum. It originally started out in an EvoX forum which was the wrong place for it.

AWD doesn't hurt. Beyond that it pretty much depends on the tire you are running. The OEM tire is okay in the rain with cautious use but hopeless in the snow.

My Evo performs good enough for daily driving duties with OEM tires in wet conditions. I've taken a lot of wet onramps at decent speeds with confidence, but it definitely isn't invincible, as I once had quite a mishap in the rain doing the same thing, even in gravel mode.

Like other people said, tires that have better wet capabilities will definitely allow you to perform even better, though usually at the cost of maximum dry performance. But even the OEM tires combined with the Evo's AWD system is good enough for me to not really worry too much about the conditions and alter my driving style on the daily grind.

I actually find that the gravel ACD setting makes me more tail happy...don't know why. I either just keep it in tarmac or go to snow for the serious stuff. Oh and tires are the most important part of the equation.

If you put snow tires on, just be careful cause you will have a false sense of stability in dry or slightly wet weather because summer or all season tires handle bettr. I am in the process of dealing with my newfound understeer. man I can wait for spring, especially since they already salted and sanded all the roads here.
