New to the EVO world! Questions!!

I just recently sold my 1996 turbo'd Integra GSR for a beautiful 2003 Tarmac black EVO! I have a couple of questions if you EVO gurus don't mind answering. First off, the only mods to the EVO are intake, BOV, 3inch downpipe to 3inch full exhaust. The service engine soon light is lit and I am wondering if I won't pass emissions for the state inspection sticker. I can't register the car without it being inspected obviously so i really don't want to look like a fool and take it up there for them to say "Ohhh sorry this didn't pass". So if you guys have any input on whether it will pass please feel free to give me your two cents. Secondly, with my integra I changed my spark plugs every oil change with NGK BCPRE7s or something like that, do you guys recommend doing the same for the evo? So let me know what you mildly modified EVO guys do for inspection stickers, thanks!

if you use copper spark plugs yes change them every or at least every other oil change

as far as the CEL that's most likely from the full exhaust...get the code pulled from autozone or something and tell us what it is

you probably just need a CEL mod for your o2 sensor

you will fail if your CEL is on btw

here is a fix for the exhaust light... it extends the O2 sensor.

i passed my inspection with my CEL on and i had no problems whatsoever. it pretty much depends where you take your car.

here in san antonio there are tons of places you can go where they just check your lights and mileage

You guys need to ask whether or not he has straight pipe or high flow cat? if you have straight pipe then you won't pass emission. thats if they check the emission.

and for the plugs, just get NGK iridium, stock evo come with iridium plugs, it's more money but dont have to change as often. bpr7eix
