Hey guys, I'm about to buy a 2006 IX.

The first thing I'd like to do is upgrade the filer to get that BOV sound.

Would this fit on my car?

haha but really. If you really must have that BOV whoosh buy an aftermarket intake. Once you buy it, however, you MUST get tuned. If not, your car will not run properly and you will most likely lose power. Please read up on the first things to do with your new Evo. Learn to drive it first (very important) then if you feel the need to upgrade start with the basic drop-in panel type filter, turbo-back exhaust, MBC and most importantly a TUNE.

 

I love my hks intake but if you're looking for bang for the buck I'm sure that's a better deal. stock BOV is plenty loud with a cone style filter.

 

I'm also buying the ams k&n cone filter for my evo ix. Any people out there have this on their evo, and if so how to you like it.
