There you go...Hearing stuff. ALL DYNOS read diffrently. I will never buy something from Buscher or Ams cause its all overated and way over priced! A 3in exhaust is a 3in exhaust no matter how you put it! I have track numbers to prove it!

I'd imagine most TBE's would have similar tuning in that they're probably all perf-core mufflers and none of them are trying to do any sort of secondary scavenging. That said, pick the one that looks great and fits your budget first and then try to find a sound clip or a friend that has that setup and listen to it.

Hope you dont have the rubbing problem. It sounds like you have a lugnut caught in your disc brake dust shield. I know several people who's driveshafts have rubbed on the HKS exhausts, all MR IX's.

Mine didnt start rubbing immediatly.. it was a little while later, I didnt have a full TBE when I had the HKS.. just the catback section. It was rubbing the carrier bearing against the resonator. When the car was at rest it had 3/4" of clearance but around corners or heavy accelleration I guess that driveshaft may have some wobble and it uses up that clearance and rubs. Some others have had problems too. I contacted HKS USA and they provided no help really so I'm not really happy with them expecially considering how much the exhaust cost. I agree with the general premise that an exhaust is an exhaust if they are both 3". Also I can recommend the Tanabe Concept G Blue as it fits perfect on a IX MR, makes great power, costs around $800 for a full TBE, and it's exceptional quality, but it's on the loud side.

A 3in is a 3in. Gains will all be similar, its really about sound. Look for sound clips of the ones you are looking at. If you ask me, the best exhaust will be used
My car had invidia on it when I got it, and I came across a good deal on a perrin dp/mynes test pipe, I like the sound of it, real mean sounding. But yeah, check for sound clips and see what pops up used.
