I love my Buschur TBE. Looks great (unique compared to all the canister style exhaust), Great price, AMAZING sound, and makes good power

to the OP. ams and buschur are the two catbacks proven to make the most power as far as dyno #'s show. but in my honest opinion a cat back is just a cat back as far as power gains. a 3 inch is a 3 inch. your really just paying for couple of welds and steel lol. megan is probably has best bang for the **** as it's CHEAP as f*ck. the hks carbon TI is a beatiful exhaust and sounds great as well, however does bottle neck. so some searches on you tube and pick the exhaust you think sounds the best, and make sure it's a 3 inch

Best exhaust is the Greedy TI. Best bang for buck has to be the Megan. Best all around as far as price, sound and weight has to be the BR bullet cat back.

That is a very strong opinion that might be hard to back up for the Greddy unit. What makes Trust Ti-R (Greddy Ti) better than Amuse 80mm, Monster Sport 80mm, Mine's 80/90mm? All three of them have even better finishing, lighter, while most people agree Amuse unit is one of the best sounding for almost all their car range they cover, while MS and Mine's seem to have one of the least bends. Only advantage GReddy has over the three is the price imo (half the cost of them).

narrowed to 4 TBE options
OK. I've listened to a bunch of clips on Youtube and I think I've got it narrowed to 4 choices. I like the sounds o the TAnabe, Cobb, TurboXS and Greddy. I think Greddy is my favorite. They all have very different sounds, but I like these four the best. Now the question is do they all produce the same power gains? Have the same quality?

Well, I was going to say I'd go with COBB now that theirs is out, but for 985... You can jump up a bit more in price and get a Titanium exhaust that weighs less...

I searched around, listened, and researched exhausts for 6 months before I bought the Injen TBE for my car.... Up until you're pushing over 350 whp, it works just as well as anything else, once you get a lot of air going through it the muffler can be a tad bit restrictive. But it sounded great, and was nice and quiet when I needed it to be and while idleing.

They will all produce roughly the same power. As far as quality, that's a bit trickier... something with the fewest bends made out of the strongest and lightest material for the cheapest price would be the best quality of course...

Cobb TBE was extremely choice in terms of the quality, welds were great, hardly no bends....but....the weight loss with this exhaust is only 21lbs.....which directly correlates to a normal sounding exhaust (close to stock) at idle and at cruise...even 65 mph cruise is no problem...no drone at all........it is at WOT where this exhaust shines........THis is with the test pipe as well.....I contemplated for like 6 months on HFC or TP....but the COBB even with the TP it is quiet....

SO if you want quiet at all times except for WOT & 3/4 throttle then the COBB is best IMO

Do you have or have you heard the COBB TBE? I am leaning towards a COBB with either the HFC or use a resonated TP instead of the COBB TP.

I am thinking TTP Eng Downpipe (since it has a flex on it), a TTP Eng resonated TP and the COBB Cat Back. My other option is the same DP and TP as above but use a Fujutsubo RM01A Cat Back instead. I am not sure which one will be quieter. I want a quiet 3" Straight Trough TBE even if I loss a few HP by using it. I cant seem to find good clips of either of these two anywhere.

Check Page 4 for the video of the COBB TBE on MY CAR.....unfortunately you don't hear how quiet it is....so Trust me it is by far the closest tbe to stock for idle, cruise etc....except for 3/4 & WOT!!!!!!!

From what you are describing it sounds alot like the invidia exhaust I have. Under normal driving it is pretty quiet, you can hear it has exhaust, but it is the quietest 3in/no cat exhaust I have heard

Megan TBE FTW! and if you get a set of 272 cams, the motor will sound even better!
