I'm looking to get cams for my Evo not really which ones to get honestly. I'll be on stock turbo for a while anyway maybe going to an a green or something similiar. I've been thinking about going with 280's just because they sound awesome and they make more power I will be getting upgraded valve springs and retainers as well cause I know I'll most likely lose low end power and need to rev it higher. I guess my question is on stock turbo are 280's even going to beniefit me at all?

To answer your question, they might make more peak power, but really how often are you revving to 8K? Plans for your future sound like a 20G or maybe a 50trim. Is this for an VIII or IX? On an VIII, I would get either HKS 272's or GSC S1's.

 

its an EVO IX and yes you are correct I will getting something like you mentioned either a 20g or 50trim. Are the hks 272s pretty lopey sounding I know that has alot to do with your idle and things as well
