HKS EVC 6 help!

alright, so installation was easy. the setting boost was hard. I set everything to 25psi, but when i go, it would only hit 20ish. Also when you "turn it off" i can only hit 12psi..wtf?!?
next thing, theres a option where you can "add" power its like a 1-199% thing where 1 % is like .2psi increase.

is there something wrong?!? i need help!!!

If it is off, then you should hit right about that... 10-12 PSI which is what the Wastegate Actuator spring is rated at.

Sounds to me like you may have a bad EBC connection or a boost leak somewhere.

Are you running the dip switches on the EVC for internal wastegate?

Just a few things to get it diagnosed!

Kel,
That is one of the best controllers you can buy. Very powerfull tools in it.

Read all about it 1st. before you start missing with it.

You are going to like it alot. Great purchase, .

Take your time and it will control boost like a son of a gun, .

Take care.

the % adjustment is to sync what you are seeing to what the engine is getting. Its a correction factor. You dont need to mess with it if it doesnt bother you. Just keep turning the set number up until you achieve your desired boost level (remember, older evc just had gain rather than a psi #). Then just remember the difference and always compensate for future adjustments. Mine is set at 26-7 and I see 23 all day. Otherwise calc the % difference and reset unit to get back to initial set up.

I love my unit. It is the most stable controller ive used.
