What to do?

Just took in my car to the dealer to have it checked out. I thought I had a boost leak but after they checked it out they told me it was my clutch slipping!
The cost to fix it is $1760.

My car only has 19k on it. What would you recommend?

Thanks

step one - test your clutch yourself

go out put the car in fifth gear let the rpm drop to 2,500 or so and floor it in fifth gear

if your rpm and speed do not shoot up in sync then your clutch is slipping

step two - do not let the dealer fix it as $1,760 is just straight up crazy

labor is usually $450-$550 for a clutch swap with fluids...a great priced/great performing clutch (mid 300 wtq) is an ACT HDSS set up...which last I remember is somewhere in the neighborhood of $600 bucks...lastly, you can have your stock flywheel resurfaced for $50-$75 bucks

Not only that you would save a lot of $$ but for that price you can also get better quality parts!!

I forgot to ask. Will this be safe to run on a completely stock car? It wont hurt the gear box or anything?

Where would be the best place to purchase a ACT HDSS for an evo 9?
