Getting probably an ES

I need help. I need to know whats my engine called. Also, Im thinking about getting exhasut and intake first. I found some intakes on ebay for cheap, and im not sure whats the best cat-back of choice, also are test-pipes illegal in texas?

After that Im gonna try to make it look like an evo, is there an evo body kit anyone for us unfortunate people who cant affor a real evo?

After that Im prolly gonna do more work on teh intake, like TB, then move onto pistons, rods, rings, then put taht new S/C on thats coming out.

Does that sound like a plan?

your engine code is 4G94, i'm assuming that is what you want to know. Intake and exhaust is a good start, i wouldn't recommend the ebay intake. Along with the intake and exhaust headers and test pipe would be a good idea. Test pipe is probably illegal everywhere, but you still have 1 functional cat so it's not like you have eliminated cats completely. They don't have any evo 8 body kits out... i believe there is an older body style evo kit in the works though. The supercharger you are talking about isn't even finished on the test lancer yet so maybe you should wait to see what the dyno results are before you commit to buying one.

BTW, you could have found all this info on your own if you would have just searched... fortunately i'm not a search **** so i did my best to answer your questions.

Sounds like a plan. There is no exact replica of an Evo body available for the Lancer. And your upgrade path seems good if you are staying NA, also look at getting a turbo if you have the money.

Here are some sites to check out:

Check out Road Race Motorsports, they have pistons and turbo. The best turbo you can probably find now, also RPW.

ya i saw that. That turbo kit is so expensive. Do u think it would be awful if i went with the non intercooled kit an dgot an intercooler later cause it woudl be cheaper.

And whats the other kit, the "hack" kit. It looks like it comes with the main turbo stuff and thats it...?

Ya it's expensive. I dont think you will be able to find any cheaper soon for this car. If you get an auto Lancer, you will have to get non intercooled I believe, also getting an intercooler later wouldn't be bad, you will just have to redo some piping.

The hacker kit is like a starter kit. You need to get all the piping and stuff. I'm not looking at it now, but I think you need to get a BOV and wastegat and stuff like that? But I'm not sure.

Nothing bad about a non intercooled kit. It is still great. (As I hear, I currently do not have one myself.)

Get an LS or OZ then? I don't really car about cruise control, I would never use it. So an ES doesn't bother me.
