Alright all, like the title says I am a n00b to the Evo...I have always liked them and wanted one but could never afford one...Anyhow I hope to acquire one once I get settled in in the Navy...so I am looking at maybe 1.5 years til I get it which is plenty of time to learn. Any how about me, I"m not the new to modding cars

then i had a few beaters in between but nothing worth posting pics of..then I moved got a new job and got myself a 2004 Saturn Ion Redline Supercharged, that i have to say is pretty quick, sucks in the snow, and open diff FWD sucks.






Any how I hope to ***** this forum up like I do to the few I am on now.

 

welcome! glad to see another motivated evo buyer. sucks about what happen to ur colbalt i mean they are the suck but still no one ever likes to get hit, the saturn is nice to just never got any interest in gm motors. Good luck wit the navy and getting ur car

 

thanks, yeah GM screwed the pooch bigtime...the ecotec motors are a ***** to mod but the potential is there...we have a couple of guys that swapped turbos for their blowers and are getting over 300hp...its also not bad around a road course for being FWD... yeah and ever since i first got into modding I have wanted an evo, i think the viii and ix are the best looking cars IMO, they're like that ugly puppy that you cant help but love...the Xs eh, i dont care for them...and theres some guy that cruises around downtown near where i work with a black one and i want to GTA his *** out of the car

welcome... if the evo's to expensive you could always start off with the 08 lancer GTS... plus they are coming out with a turbo kit for it!!

 

i dont like the way the new ones look, i plan on getting a used viii or ix for 25k ish and going from there

 

wow that most hurt when that truck rear ended you

 

i rear ended him because apparently he didnt think brake lights that light up when you push the brakes are important

 

and yes it did hurt
