Waiting a Good Idea?

Sup folks,

Well, after being removed from my 06 STI for only 3 months I find myself looking at the Evo X (not liking the new STI).

However, since the new MRs are not even out yet, I figured it would be best to wait for the 2nd or even 3rd generation of the Evo X body style so that they may work out the kinks. I realize I won't be first in line with the coolest new thing on the block, but I also know significant upgrades are part of redesigns (ie when I compare the 03 Evo and 06 Evo).

Do other folks feel the same way?

Thanks for any input.

It would seem to be the "smart" thing to do to wait, but you also have to factor that you might not miss much for improvements/revisions and you lose out on all the time you could have been enjoying the car.

I thought of that, and although I love how the previous Evos look, I have a very hard time purchasing a used turbo vehicle.

The X has certainly grown on me since I first saw it. If I decide to buy one I will wait at least a few years to see what types of problems the new one might have. I still don't like the idea it has a lot of Dodge stuff in it.

if you keep waiting for the next one, you'll never have one

just get one if you want it and can afford it

I would buy the GSR over the MR, because chrome is teh ghey.

Plus I like a real manual transmission, having driven other cars with manunatics

No reason to wait. If you wait for the XI, then you might as well wait for the XII. If you wait for the XII, you might as well wait for the new body style XIII. If you wait for the XIII, then should wait until XIV to work out bugs...

Get a IX with low, low miles on it. I have seen them with 1200 miles
