hi!
The last shot was taken in Detroit. It was on top of the parking garage where I go to school. Yea, 14.9 is prettyyyy slow. But the car is stock... for the most part. I still have the tiny t25 turbo on there. The only things it has is a 3" turbo-back exhaust and a 1g BOV with a hard upper inercooler pipe. It has an ACT 2100 clutch, too. So I'm itching to get it a bigger turbo setup. And I've started to collect some new parts for it.
Here's some videos of the slow runs. lol

The car's body has 155,000 miles. The engine has about 30,000 or so. It spent most of last year getting back on the road after sitting for over 2 years.
Thanks for the welcomes!!
Oh, yea, I also understand the "love 'em or hate em" type mentality towards these cars. It seems that to some, the boxy shape and lack of "refinement" is to much a reminder of the past; but I think that's what gives it even more character! (Not talking about the X, of course... but I see this topic has been discussed. I do like the styling of it tho!)
Then again, I also have an infautuation of old boxy turbo-mopars...
That's my 89 Shelby CSX-VNT and I love every jaw-jarring ride! lol! There are no options on this car, exacpt for a radio in which sometimes you can hear over the engine and exhaust noise.

I just saw the pic of the CSX, that thing is MINT!.....I started with a RED GLHS Omni Clone with an 89 turbo II motor which I still have, and now its for sale. I also had a RED 91' Spirit R/T, that thing was AWESOME, it was so much fun playing with the unsuspecting ricers!

Awesome video!!!! :-D
I think its awesome you guys also like the old turbo-mopars! There are some crazy fast ones out there. My CSX won't be one of those, since I want to keep it as close to stock as possible since they are getting harder to find. The VNT (variable nozzle.. or variable geometry as they are called now) is a cool concept. The car had vitrually no lag. :-D The downside is there's not much one can do with it, since the turbo is essientually computer controlled. I have heard of people tricking it, but sometimes it couses more damage. So I'll just let it be. It's in need of some small things here and there.
The sprirt r/t is one car I'd like to have someday. That thing is like the ultimate sleeper! Did you encounter cylinder head problems with yours? I've often heard that the TIII engine is prone to cracked heads.

No, I didnt have any problems, but there is a fix for that. In the center of the head between each spark plug there are 3 steel threaded freeze plugs. Why, ask Lotus, I have't the foggest. Putting steel plug in an aliminum head was the problem. As the engine temp came up, the steel would expand at a different rate than the aliminum head causing it to crack. This usually cracks out to one of the spark plug holes. Dodge does make aliminum freeze plugs to go in there now so if it hasent happened it prevents it from doing so.
