Allthough I am not an owner of an Evolution lancer, I love the cars to pieces and once I get through school I plan on getting one! So I'd thought I'd join up here to read about everyone's cars!

Right now, i'm an owner of a 95 Talon TSi Awd. This is my first AWD car, and I absoultly love it! I took my car to the dragway last fall, and it was so neat to be able to launch it at 4500 RPM with absolutly no wheel spin!!

I've been following these cars for some time now. I usually get crap for it to, as most of my friends are more into the american muscle cars. Don't get me wrong, I like those cars too, but there's just something sweet about the EVO's!

I somehow talked the local Mitsu dealer into letting me test drive one. lol! It was amazing! I thought they were awesome cars before.... but after that drive I was hooked forever!

I consider my Talon to be a pacifier; since its a manual trans turbo AWD car. he he!! It'll probably be getting a turbo upgrade this year sometime, as 14.9 1/4 mile time is not super impressive.

You're lucky you got to test drive one! I think a lot of us here weren't able to drive it unless we bought it.

Yea, I honestly don't know how I pulled that one off. He even let me take it BY MYSELF!

I returned it like an hour later with no gas.

 

^ Yup, test drives, especially before, were pretty rare. I only got one because I made a post directed toward locals who would offer me a ride so I knew what it was like and one guy responded to me, but he ended up being a salesman, which I didn't know until I called him up. But whatever, I got to drive a brand new IX at that time.

Welcome here. I think its great that you can appreciate both Evos and american muscle cars. Most people are biased one way or the other and I seem to get **** all the time for owning both of them. Its always nice to have another girl that likes cars join the site. Good luck getting your Evo later on.

Welcome, and like eeveeeryone aaalready stated, it is nice that a female can appreciate both imports, and american musclecars. Us EVO owners are a rare breed, either you LOVE 'EM, or ya HATE 'EM, nothin in between. Its funny, all of my "domestic" buddys used to make fun of my "lancer", and now.......well, all ill say is These cars are alot faster than they appear. Good luck on gettin the EVO, and when you do....Let the modding begin
