Removing FRONT axles....

I am trying to remove the Front Passenger axle but it seems like its stuck on there it wont come out...

I have everything out of the way u can just sell the axles hanging in there. over the Lower control arm. I have removed the caliper off , rotor, hub and all....

is there a special way or tool to remove the axle... and yea its not in gear neither....

Listen im NOT sure about this BUT when i did the axles on my sentra(i know not even close to the same car but still) the axle needed a good hard yank straight out from where it sat. It was like a pressure/clearance fit with a ring. MAYBE this isthe same way, idlike to know myself when i have to do it on the EVO

DONOT just pull the axle. Get a decent pry bar or screwdriver, put it behind the axle cup and use the t-case as leverage to get it out. It will require some good tugs to get it. Make sure the car is stable. its held in by a good size c clip.

the new axle should come with a new clip. make sure the spline is line up and make a good hard push and it should go in. if not i always use a big rubber hammer.

Its not a bad idea to replace the axle clips. They seem to get sprung and make the axle fit even tighter if you don't. However, they are reusable.

Yeah, the dealer. If the parts guy doesn't know what you are talking about - well, dunno. I also have gotten them out of axle boot kits. The kits always contain several. I guess they figure you will lose some. The aftermarket ones in the boot kits aren't as springy - recommened if you don't want a bruised hand.
