ARC Induction Box

I'm looking to buy this intake, but I have a few questions. Is this intake really high maintenance? I heard you have to switch both filters out every 2000 miles, and the filters are about $70 each. I know the price is high for this unit, but whatever I like for my car, I should get right? And I really like this intake. Also, does this intake make the diverter valve louder? I heard that all intakes make it louder, but does the ARC Induction box make it louder as well? Thanks guys in advance.

I'm not sure about that box but i have a cone filter and have had no issues with them being dirty for even 10k miles. I expect the ARC box to be the same unless you live on a dirt road.

As for loudness yes any filter box mods make the DV much louder. The stock box and pipe does a really good job of muffling the sound.

from what I've read it is very functional. I think it kind of boils down to a name. This is the intake I'm going to go with but I don't daily drive my evo anymore. I had thought about doing the blitz induction cover and filter. If I can find more testimonials I still may go that route if I feel like saving a couple hundred bucks.
