what do u think with the high mileage and all, estimated cost of maintenance???...what about insurance, im 16, and im with my parents on it...... i also wont be paying for it nor the maintenace...but i am trying to cut my pops some slack right now. so if u dnt want to help, but instead want to make fun of how im spoiled, or have bad grammar, go ahead.

I think the price is fair. Maybe you can knock it down to 17k to 18k.
But I am concerned about your age and the insurance.
I expect the insurance to be somewhere around 2500+ year.
Maintenance maybe, depending on your replacement parts can run up to 1000 a year.
Also, do you think you can be responsible enough to handle a 270hp car?
You are 16 and I don't mean to be a d*ck, but maybe you should get a crappy car first then move on to evo when you are a little bit older?

Being that your 16 and if your parents are going to be paying 18K for a car you could get a Honda or something brand new for that price, yes its not as fast or as sporty. But it will be cheaper on gas insurance and maintanance.

Do as you wish and remember it isnt about showing off because you can, drive safely!

cutting your dad some slack right? are you paying everything for this car? being 16 i don't think you are its more like you're milking him and using money thats not yours. get a damn bagging job and pay for a civic. stay in school. but on the nicer side, i don't recommend you getting something like that because of your experience. get something practically so you can get better at driving, save all the money, and buy em later. insurance is going to rape you blindly.

Have you tried looking at a Saturn Ion Redline? They're FWD, can do 0-60 in low 6s or so, & are a few thousand cheaper. They might be a better choice than an Evo for you. They are comparable to the WRX, but seem to be going for less $, w/fewer miles, & newer.

No prob. Just be careful & try to save yourself & probably your parents some $. Whatever you save now you can put into mods later, or get a kick *** stereo set up. You can always find something to spend $ on, especially when it comes to cars!

Man, i hate these god damn idiots that just cant friggin respond to the question.

In any case, the price is average and the mileage is high.
the car is probably due for a timing belt change. from the dealer, thats in the $700+ range.

Have you heard of ttp-engineering? i dont know how far away they are from you, but thats a good shop that can help you out with work on the car.
dealer are very expensive and most of the time dont know what they are doing when it comes to evos.
