You're wrong, most people will tell you that the 5-speed is better because it is stronger, and the MR is not lighter. It may have a lighter roof but its a bit heavier than the 5-speed evo due to the 6-speed tranny being a little bit heavier.

like i said, the only time hes going to race is wen someone pulls up next to him an the freeway or a stop light. and all he plans on doing(that he told me) is a BC(at 21 psi), IC pipes, intake, and a catback with a tune...

I like my 5 speed... less shifting, unless he will be on the freeway a lot the 6 is pointless in my mind... the 6th gear is just cruizin', my 5 does just fine on the freeway and i dont have to shift as much while racing...

Sorry, not to go off topic but racing on the streets should be a big no no...just my 2 cents.

All depends on the driver... skill makes up a greater part of the equation than you think. Until you race someone with more skill than you (with a similar performing car) than you'll understand its "90% driver , 10% car"

Either way you'll still be driving an Evo... enough car to kick some serious a$$!

What's the point of having an Evo if you're just going to drive aound town looking for SRT-4's. Not taking an Evo to some kind of event is like those people that own huge trucks that can tow 10,000 lbs just to drive their 8 year olds to school.

And by the way, street racing is ALWAYS stupid, even if you "just try not to do anything supid." Too many people have died to be this flip about it.
