that was one hell of a deal since there's guys with viii's with 40k miles asking fro 20-22k

Yeah I got lucky. The seller I got it from was ready to have a kid real soon so he had to get rid of fast. I met with the seller and inspected the car a good 10 minutes and everything was clean and looked fine. So I ask him "how much did you want for it?". He goes, "I'm really in a rush, I'll let it go for 19.". Half a second later I say "DEAL!". Visited my bank that same hour and secured the deal.

But yeah, RS's are more rare and more desirable from a tuners perspective.

I got my 2005 RS in 2006 with 9k miles for under 25k. It was flawless.

And in my opinion RS models are the most desirable because they are bought truly for the driving experience. Definitly true at a time when people think the new X is soft, pre-X model RSs are the raw deal.

this guy is crazy to think he'll get 25k for an 05 rs with that many miles. Wasn't an 05 rs new around 27.5k msrp. 3 year old car + 27,000 miles = more then $2500 depreciation
