First I want to thank anyone that is going to help me. Second I want to state before hand I tried using the search and couldn't find what I was looking for. I just bought a 06 evo MR with 9000 miles on it. The thing I don't understand is it looks a lot different from the 2006 evo MR that was just traded in to my dealership. My evo doesn't have the black housing headlights or tail lights, the vortex generators (I know the previous owner probably took them off), theres no MR badge on the grill, and it says evo IV on the bottom left corner of the trunk. It is a 6 speed and has the MR badge on the inside with the radio on the top slot and the gauges on the bottom slot. Now the one that was traded in has the vortex generators, the black housing heads and tails, the black grill with the mr badge, it says Evolution MR on the back across the trunk, it has the gauges on top and the radio on bottom, among other small things. What I'm wondering is why my evo is so different? The production date on the plate inside the drivers door is 03/06. I thought all the 06's had the black housing heads and tails? Is one an SE??(I don't know the exact difference between the two). Thanks for your help!

 

An MR SE comes with the SE package.Red stiched recaros BBS SE wheels, and SE front lip.Sounds like the previous owner got the radio relocation kit and changed a few other things on your car.The other EVO could have the JDM EVO 8 MR headlights and taillights or the previous owner had the lights all blacked out.

 

Alright. So the gauges are usually on the top stock? And also, the headlights arent black housing stock? Thanks for your help bro I appreciate it.

someone may have swapped your heads and tails with viii heads and tails

there is no mr logo in the grill

your trunk was definitely debadged

 

I wish they just made one model....
