I think I found the cure...
Stock turbo is no longer fun :(
Got my car back a few weeks ago and I'm ready for more power lol. I seem to have just about every common mod/bolt on that there is. So I guess it's time for a bigger turbo. I was thinking 30r, anyone have any experiences with a 30r setup? I was wondering about spool and other things that could effect the power you could get out of it. Like..
- Is the stroker worth it to get to boost quicker while losing top end if most races go from digs and you start in the powerband anyway??
- Is meth worth the risk of destroying the engine for the extra torque and psi?.
- Would it be worth it to run a meth setup so that it kicks in on full throttle only?
- Is race gas worth the hassle of having to get an extra tune and stuff that goes with the extra tune, etc?
- What would be the most worth while setup on a 30r?
- The 30r is the next smallest turbo from the 35r right??
Sorry for all the questions, I'm just ready for more power!!! I was going to just say screw it and run a 35r, but always running that much power seems like a bit of overkill. Plus i understand it's worthless to run it w/o race gas or meth cause you can't get it's full potential. The green...well $1000 seems ignorant for 20-30whp. I just need something that's going to have massive power, with decent spool, and top end. I'm sure I'm going to get flamed for saying that, but advise is welcome lol...

im going to assume that you only race in straight lines, maybe im wrong, but i would say go ahead and try a road course or autox, or rallyx. ya know, you dont need a whole lot of power to have fun with turns on tarmac, dirt, or gravel.
