Talking your friend into getting an Evo
If you were convincing your friend into getting an Evo, what kind of things would you tell him to get him hooked on it? He nor I can drive it because I don't have the registration yet, I'm tempted to but it's too risky and it's really not worth it. He's really not into imports, his last car was an older Mustang. He likes how my Evo looks, except for the gold Advan RGII's. I really want him to get and Evo I just need to convince him into getting one...what would you tell your friend?
get him in the car...take him to a closed area...tell him to sit down..shut up...and hold on...after those high speed turns where the car handles like a train...no ameriacn muscle handle like we do...trust me he'll be hoooked...

that's exactly how I found my way here. Now I'm looking at getting myself an EVO X. I couldn't believe I was missing out on such a vehicle, when I sat in a tuned EVO 9 MR and my friend took me for a spin, I knew I had to be apart of the EVO experience. No other car I have ever been in has ever made such an impact on me.
i would tell him that he sucks at driving and wasn't worthy of such a car and then give him a ride... he will want one the second he feels you coming out of a turn at 75 mph with a lil oversteer...that is if you yourself could handle that and not crash
i hate to be devils advocate but you cant say "no american muscle cars" u can say no american muscle cars beside the Z06 or ford GT...then you would have a correct statement

Id show him videos of stock Evos spanking some muscle cars. Let him drive mine. If hes not hooked from boost and the handling, then hes not worthy of an Evo and wouldn't respect it anyway. The Evo may not be for everyone and they just don't know what they are missing out on.
I am in the same boat. Ive wanted an Evo since I was a little kid and now that I have one, theres no turning back I will have another. To me the Evo is the best produced affordable car.
First, do a search on cars dot com or autotrader and print out a list of all the Evos in a 50 mile radius and sort by price.
Second, print out the prices for a turbo-back, intake, mbc, and boost guage.
Third, take him for a test drive and after his jaw is dragging on the floor pull out the printouts and tell him to stop being a ***** and DO IT! :P

After you get your registation sorted out, stick him in the passenger seat and go have some fun with it. If he has any sort of a pulse then he ought to love it, reguardless if he is a muscle car guy. I am and I bought an Evo too. You shouldn't need to say anything to him at all. Nobody had to say a word to me, as soon as I drove it I knew I wanted it.
