Getting Evo 9, Reliable?
Zereo issues with mine as of now. It really is quite a fun car to daily drive, I always look forward to taking it somewhere. As the old saying goes if you take care of it, it will take care of you. It holds true for pretty much any car including this one. Just treat it well and it shouldn't give you any grief.
It really depends on how you treat the car. I maintain the car within the dealer guidelines and then some(go beyond after a hard session of road race...etc)
I just changed my plugs to new OEM, had a brake flush, changed oil immediately after the track session, and going to change the tranny fluid after next one(Already changed once 6 month ago) had diff fluid changed by the dealer guidelines....
22k on my car that's 350whp/340tq for 18k+miles also seen 2+ track days more to come and no issues what-so-ever. I am planning to go to track about 3-4 more times this summer and I don't anticipate a huge issue as long as we all take proper care of our cars, accordingly to your situation.

its just sooooooo tough not to abuse the living crap out of the car. if i didn't drive it like i stole it, i would never have any issues... even now - its only wear items that are killing me (clutches, tires, brakes, fluids) i'm at 50K
