i went 28k miles with my only mod being a St. 2 clutch and light weight fly from WORKS, before i had to bring my car to the dealer for warranty work.

My front brembos began to peel. They were replaced without any hassle (you must make friends with your service personel).

I am at 31k miles with the brembos being my only problem. Then again I use Griots car care products, and both at work and home my car sits into a completely covered garage (but its not like the gulf of mexico, just 7 houses away, is likely helping my odds of perserving my IX)

Reliablity is all based on how you take care of your car. The 06 came with 6 year 60,000 mile warranty so the helps a little..

evos are the best cars you can buy in the market.

depends on how you take care of the car, and how much hp you want to be making...

don't mod the hell out of it and you'll be fine. I'm sure it's just as reliable as a civic....mechanically of course. Starting boosting any car heavily and you'll start burning holes in your pocket.

they only break when you abuse them.....

Don't plan on racing often and you'll be set....

Hard shifting kills tranny
lots of launch or improper launching kills the tc

Those are the only things that break unless youre making crazy amounts of power.

Cheers!

no it doesn't. only the SE/MR come with HIDS standard. It's an option on the GSR but I think a lot of IX's had them on the lots.

Like everyone said take care of it and it will treat you right. I bought my IX brand new and now I have 50k+ miles and still on the factory clutch, I've had no issues at all with my IX. The only thing is they eat tires and rotors/brakes often.
