Glad to be a part of the community - been trolling here for awhile and registered when I got my car.

I picked up a graphite gray X on Friday and it was definitely the right decision.

I am a converted Subie owner - I had an 05 Sti from 05-06 which was good; but this is WAY better.

Excited to be a part of the cool kids club

I live in SE Michigan, north of Metro Detroit and might be looking for a Sunday drive club or something similar.

Did you trade in your Sti & how much did you pay?

 

Without too much of the boring details, i traded the Sti in in November of 2006 after getting laid off - i needed something more affordable. At the time Subaru was offering me a buy out on my car for just about what i owed at the time (about 25,000).

Being locked into Subaru (they were the only ones giving me enough money to get out the car) i went leased a Subaru Legacy Outback - nice car, but not my style.

The lease is up on that car in a few months, and I am now in a position where I could afford the car i want - the Evo X. I wanted it since the early spy photos hit the net.
