READ THIS: Won 2nd Place at HIN Years Ago
Just to let you all know, I won 2nd place open Mitsubishi back in Illinois at their 2 or 3rd HIN show (don't remember, it's been years since)
Anyways, this goes to show it doesn't take much to win, it just takes the type of car and how you set it up. This was before the "Lancer" came out in America. It was still called the "MIRAGE"
Stats of my "MIRAGE":
Mirage ES Automatic (bought for $11,000)
White Exterior
Painted White Interior (had the worst glare off of the winshield)
Universal Stainless Exhaust with 3"-4" tip
Carbon Fiber "M3 STYLES" Side View Mirrors
Evo 6 Style Spoiler
KB Shocks/Struts
Lowered
Clear Corners
Altezza Style Rear Tail Lights
16" White 6 Spoke White Rims
Nitto Tires
Carbon Fiber Shift Knob (mine was an automatic)
Kenwood Double Din Head Unit
Aluminum Sign that read "Parking for Mirage Only" for display at the show
APPROX. EXPENSES: Less than $2,000.00
My competition...
A ton of Eclipses (buy for $20,000) with:
18" rims
Repainted exterior
Turbos
Recaro/sparco seats
Sound Sytems
Ground kits
Etc/Etc/Etc...
APPROX. EXPENSES: MORE THAN $10,000.00
CONCLUSION: It's not always how much you spend, sometimes it just takes something different.

you get $10 trophy.
Cars shows are cool but i think its for ricers who want to show off.
More money spend on your car = wins(most of times)
Most of them dont even know how to drive.
oh ya and most of works are done by some other than owner.
Welcome to evom.
I'm just pissed at HIN
went to one and got disappointed and went to see next to one to see if its better and another disappointment
