Which Exhaust is good to Buy for a Evo IX?
Hey I would Like to know which Exhaust is good to buy for a Evo Ix should I get the one with the Cat Back System or the Turbo System? I am very confused. Is Invidia good or Hks? I want that chrome look and it has to be 3 inch. thanks. I want something that gives me alot of power.
Dont you drive a "2004 toyota caldina gt-4" though? Also you should really have searched this before you post about something that has been a topic of discussion about fifty-billion times.

If you want some power and keep it legal and a nice throtty sound and easy install? Try WORKS http://worksevo.com/ The Tip is double chrome and very nice. Shipment is Fast! Get the intermediate pipe and the drop in filter. Very quiet from 4K up. Throtty sound between 2-4K. Smoother shifting.

Invidia and HKS are both good companies. It depends on what you are looking for.If you can try to get the one piece Full titanium HKS Hi Power exhaust. They don't sell it here in the states and I don't think HKS USA lists it but it does exist.I saw it in a Hyper Rev Magazine.

Also, the HKS and evidently the APS rubs on the driveshaft on IX's, stay away from those POS's unless you don't mind using BFH on $700.00 cat back
, although the HKS is a quiet exhaust it also rusts as it's coated mild steel or something. I bash it every chance I get so that nobody has to go through the grinding/rubbing/rusting with an expensive catback. I had one, sold it and got the Tanabe that I have now, it's a loud one
and it's SS, deep, and throaty, and most importantly perfect fitting, no false knock, both crossbars intactThe Evo exhaust is made up of 4 parts, Coming off of the turbo, o2 housing, downpipe (DP), Cat or test pipe, and then the cat back (CBE) section which may be made up of a few pipes as well, this is the section with the muffler.
When you buy a Turbo Back Exhaust (TBE), you get everything from the o2 housing to the bumper in most cases. You can get a high flow cat if needed as well.
When you buy a CB, you just get the exhaust parts after the cat.
Better flowing exhausts are generally louder and 3" throughout. Mine actually has a 2.75" DP but it's a top performer nonetheless.
