Tanabe touring medallion, HKS Hi-Power, and Greddy Ti-C are not full 3 inch exhausts.
the Ti-c is the loudest of the bunch, then Hks,and then tanabe

Ive heard the Cobb with a high flow cat with cams, and it was pretty loud imo, but it should be quieter without cams.
RRE is very quiet (i have it with a test pipe and you could barely hear it), but they are in socal and they are kind of hard to get a hold of through phone.

3" wrapped DP + MIL.SPEC 100 cps cat + RRE Stealth = as quiet as stock inside the cabin. Only slightly louder than stock outside the car.

tanabe medallion has taper; hks hi-power is loud with cams(i know); but perhaps cams will change most exhausts' sounds.

off-topic: can anyone rec a hiflow cat?

Apexi WS2, its actually quieter than stock at parts.... sounds great when you got on it. doesn't make that raspy sound the greddys make. Its also 3nichs inside the muffler unlike the Fujitsubos which neck down inside the can. Only prob is that like most jdm exhausts it necks down at the cat. So if thats a big deal for you then it prob won't do for you, unless you want to mod it... It doesn't get quieter than this thing... not even the tanabe touring medallion and fujitsubos.

The tanabe necks down to 2.96 inches at the cat. Its quiet and sounds sexy when you hit boost and relatively inexpensive. Plus their downpipe has awesome fitment on the IX's. Clears the acd and requires so washer modifications.
