just purchased a new evo
Hi dudes,
just purchased a apex silver evo 8 with 67000 tonight on 5/29/08. It was dropped and looks like some performance mods were placed on it. Will post up pics of it on the weekend.
Just have a question about loans. how much is too much for a financing an evo. I just payed 11000 down and have to finance about 8000 for 60 months. i bought the car for 16675, and taxes and fees brought up to 18900. is this reasonable for a evo 8, or am i thinking too much about it? I dont have that much buyers remorse since its the car ive always wanted after my gs-r was stolen. but theres that doubt that you could have gotten a better deal kind of thing.
let me know if this is too much or not. because this was the cheapest evo in a 500mile radius i could find.

ignore this...
the car was absolute crap!!!!!!!!!, i drove out of the dealership not even ten MILES and the cars electricals all shutdown!!!! Im driving along and all of a sudden nothings working, even power steering and brakes were gone. I got ripped the **** off!!. i look under the hood, the ecu and wiring harness looked ****ed and melted.
I just made a 4000 dollar loss and a whole of work gone down the drain. they wouldnt even refund anything, just SOL. I had to trade the piece of **** in for 13500 and buy a 2008 subaru impreza with a 4000 difference than what id paid for the evo. This is the worst day of my life. the deal was toooo good to be true.
if your in illinois stay the **** away from these ********, St charles Pontiac and Buick and Schaumberg Subaru they are both owned by the same people. worst possible outcome today. worst.
thats its, ill wait and buy a evo 6 and import here, i dont care about the legalities, tis better than this crap. they were even blaming me for breaking the car, "did you do this" what the hell?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trending Topics
(1) Your style of driving... You do have to be more careful with lowered vehicles, so taking it slow over bumps and railroad tracks, avoiding potholes, and angling your car up a steep driveway.
(2) How soft or hard the suspension is. If you take a good look at the shock/spring combo you might be able to tell what brand the suspension is. This might give other members a better idea to give you advice. Some people change the springs to a shorter one to create a "drop" but keep the factory shocks (this type of setup might be a little softer than one with an aftermarket shock). Check your tires and fenders to see if there's any rubber sediments on the fender or if there's a line cut all around the tire in the same spot. If there is, then the car is too low.
(3) Is the suspension a coil-over-spring setup? If this is the case, coilovers have adjustable ride height and adjustable dampening meaning you can adjust the height of the spring and stiffness of the shock.
(4) Do you have (or intend to add) any kind of body kit of add-ons such as front bumper lips or extended side skirts? Any additions to the lower extremities of the bumpers or sideskirts could end up scraping the curb or cracking the piece if it's made out of fiberglass or a similar material.
(5) How bad are the roads that you usually drive on? Are there alot of potholes? If so, then having a car lowered more than 1.5" from stock could be more of a headache for you than it is for others. Lowered vehicles do need to be driven more carefully than a regular vehicle.
just my $.02
Does the car have a turboback on it, pretty quiet one?
for suspension, theres no visible lince cut on the tires, and looks like coilovers since it gots the adjustment knob on each side. i plan on driving in low pothole regions in the burbs, and dont like any kind of body kits since those look nasty unless it fr time attack puposes.
I gotta get some pics up and show you guys, i think thats the best possible outcome for this car to get the love it requires.
