I searched in the stickey section but I couldn't find out if the evo 9's came with a plastic BOV or a metal one? My friend had an evo 9 rs and he said my bov looks and sounds different from his. He thinks it may be a jdm mr or a tomei. All it has on top are some numbers, no tomei emblem.

The JDM MR BOV and the 9 BOV are the same thing.

If it has small black serial numbers etched across the top then it'S A TOMEI.Thats a very good peice it hold a little boost then a mr blowoff valve about 5psi more.All evo IX come with the metal type,but mr one holds more boost.

 

Well that makes me very happy cause that's exactly what I have on mine. I looked at the TOMEI bov and mine is shiny just like the one they show, and it has serial numbers on top. SWEET!

 

all you have to do it pop the hood and check, plastic is black, metal is metal

 

I knew I had a metal bov fuqiwara...I just didn't know if they came with a metal one from the factory.
