I've owned a few 4g63's but in the recent years I've had a Subaru wrx which i just sold so i could buy something else. A guy lives by me thats deals in salvage title cars and has an evo 9 mr with 14000k on it. the car has been in a roll over accident and had the passenger side fender, door, and hood replaced. the car looks immaculate inside and out and he wants 20,000 for the car. i realize this seems a bit high. but this car has been my dream car for a while now and just never had an opportunity like this sitting in front of me. i don't plan on reselling the car at any point really. so the salvage title doesn't bother me what bothers me is that everyone I've talked to is skeptical on this purchase because it was involved in a rollover.
before i commit to buying the car I'm taking it to a body shop where they can take measurements and check everything out along with an alignment shop.
could anyone give me any more advice about my situation? what to look for and how stupid i am for considering this. thank you

That price isn't good enough for a car that was in that serious of a wreck. For that price, you can pick up an VIII in great condition and some light mods that wasn't in a rollover.
Also, since you're in Michigan, check out mievo.net. There's usually a good Evo or two for sale locally, and chances are someone there would know more about this car if it's local.

Dude in a rollover accident so much **** can happen internaly its not even funny, an Engine was never designed to work upside down, and if that engine stayed on for even 10 seconds, theres a tone of stuff that can be wrong with it. Im telling you man save another 4 grand and buy one that has a good service record. Rollovers are a cars worst nightmare. except for asian woman tyring to pilot them....i think that tops a rollover, Good Luck
