the one on the right is the output of the IC, which is also known as UCIP

the one of the left is the input from the intake and compressor. this is the power making piece. i recommend Nisei, ETS, and Buschur

yeah im got a buschur one, so from the front its on the left(the one that goes from the turbo to the intercooler)?

is the HKS Carbon Ti catback quit, like with a Downpipe and o2 housing and stock cat, or should i get the Hi-power? price doesnt mean anything to me with exhausts, i just want quit but not super quit, i live in cali(riverside) and loud exhaust are what gets tickets and/or the cops to watch you and keep an eye on you. i have a buddy around the corner with a blue viii with and intake, ic piping and the Hi-power and its pretty quit but how much louder with a dp and o2 housing make it cause if that dont do mucch then ill get the carbon ti. thanks for the info

To make it simple and easy for you, the lower intercooler pipe (LICP) is on the passenger side while the upper intercooler pipe (UICP) is on the driver side.

you want a quiet exhaust? try cobb.

if you want a quality good looking exhaust, try JUN BL

What sucks about HKS is that it is not a full 3" all the way through. It tapers to 2.5" at the cat flange.

All the jdm exhuasts suck except for the jun.bl.Now as far as the hks go they neck down too 2inch's inside the muffler piece of crap in my book.If your looking for quiet exhuast go with the cobb, just remember when exhuast's are quiet that means there restricted and your not going to make alot of power.Make sure you get a hiflow cat and you be just fine, and won't be loud at all.

If you will never upgrade your cat, then JDM exhausts such as HKS, Apexi, Greddy, and Tanabe, will not be a restriction since they taper down to the stock cat size.

also the inside diameter of the canister is 2.5 inch too and most mufflers are like that....very few are 3 inch straight through
