Clutch Help ASAP!

In March I put a new Fidanza 3.2 clutch and light weight flywheel in. Tonight on my way home I down shifted in to 4th to make a pass and the rpm just jumped so I tried in other gears and it is slipping in all of them as soon as boost kicks in. I have only launched it once over a month ago. It was fine this morning when I left for work and when I went out for lunch. I also had a stainless steel braided Clutch line installed at the same time. Please Help.

tob bearing has no effect on the pressure plate engaging if its slippin THEN IT DID ENGAGE so that rules out the tob could be you fried what was left of the disc.
stop launching it. ease it out the hole. but yea your clutch should be toast.

I have no free play in the clutch it still feels roughly the same except the catch is not as solid.

How is one Launch going to fry the clutch the launch was from 3500 and i have under 280 to the wheels. That launch was well over a month ago it just now decided to have an effect on the clutch? That should have fried the clutch then not now.

I will be taking a look through the inspection window on monday to see if I can find anything out.

Adjust the clutch so that you have free play, you need about 1".

Did you notice anything up to the point of failure or was it all or nothing??

I have a OS Giken STR Twin Plate in my S14 SR... its Beautifull... i dont want to sound like an *** but ACT isn't the best and its only a Stock Type Replacement.
Most Flywheel and Clutch Kits are based on Stock but not all combinations will work well together, unless you get a Flywheel Clutch Combo.
Also... try to stay away from Clutch Plates that are rivited on... I really dont like that Fidanza has a Screwed on replaceable surface eather.

The OS will run about $1800+, but its the best on the market, sprung disc, rebuldable, hold 600+HP, and very very DD friendly!!

Exedy Twin is basically just two 6 pucks... not very impressed, but to each his own.

Had the shop open up the inspection window on the transmission and it looks like the spines on the pressure plate bent. Time to get a real clutch was hoping this one would get me through the next year or two. I will be calling Fidanza in the morning to see what they say doubt they will be willing to help. Thanks all.

I agree they probobly installed wrong seen this happen before.Fidanza is not junk but not the best i wouldn't put on my evo maybe a honda, not a fan of 3peice flywheels nothing better then one peice chromoly.Another possible thing is that you didn't break it in, on a new clutch there's a 500mile breakin period if not done then it would slip quickly.
