Just bought a mint 04 Evo!!!!

Sorry, i'm pretty excited to get back into a performance car!!! Last year i sold my 360rwhp 95 camaro and got an envoy. Needless to say it's gutless, lol. I just picked up a MINT 04 with the ssl package and 24k miles for 21,500. I think i got a pretty killer deal, especially from a dealer. Here is the link to the car, can't wait to pick it up this weekend! Oh yeah, its listed as an RS, but obviously isn't.

Did you call a Mitsu dealership and have them run the VIN? Find out what warranty/repair/maintenance records are on it?

not if it's truely mint......you should check the service records....i paid 22 for my 06 IX, but it wasn't treated to nice before i got it.....no mods to speak of (exhaust), but in one fender bender becuase the previous owner didn't know how to drive........my God, what i would pay for a stock-less-than-100-miles IX MR or SE......people were paying well over 40 for the last ones on the last lots...

I will do that, the carfax looks clean and the car was taken in to the same dealership a few times. I'll give them a call. looking at the condition of the car it would really supprise me if it was beat on.

Agreed, especially for an RS.

A definition of mint my friend, would be from a private party 1 owner older guy that used it as his weekend car or just putted to work 8 miles every day.
Thats the "barn" Evo's we're all looking to buy.

I found an Evo 9 that I'm going to buy for 20k with under 10k miles.

Wow...just wow! First off, its not an RS (as OP said it wasn't) because it has a sunroof and leather (SSL Package). Secondly, with just over 24K on the odometer and untouched by some mad modder it's pretty damn close to mint (at least in a street or laymans sense).

With the prices rising on VIII's & IX's, I would think $21.5K is a pretty damn good deal.

Yeah, there is always a better deal some may say. She is clean and unmolested so i am very happy with it. It's almost a shame to mod it but i'm sure it won't be stock for long. It will get a full exhaust, intake and tune before August. I'm going to a track day at BIR in MN and need to shut up my buddy in his C5. they are runing the new short corse that bypasses the front straight. It is going to be a blast!
