I think it's time for me to get an exhaust. I'm sure everyone is familiar with the 350Z and Infiniti Gs, I love the sound of their exhausts. (Don't kill me!) Is there an exhaust out there for the Evo that will give off a similar sound and tone?

 

that sound is mostly due to the fact that they're a V6.

 

a v6 sound and a v8 are very different from a 4cyl. If you're looking for a good exhaust anything greddy or megan IMO. you can also go the buschur route which is expensive but well worth it. Any turbo-back exhaust will give you a louder sound then a catback... if you want a girls opinion

 

i think the intakes got more to do with the sound on the late Z's and G's

Ya I also love the sound of the G's and Z's but every car is gonna sound different especially when it comes to how many cylinders it has. Are you wanting a loud exhaust or just something with a good growl? Buschur is gonna have a meaner sound IMO. AMS TBE sounds great!

 

that sound would be from the vq engines they got under there. No way your going to create that sound in the Evo. Same thing with the subby's, no way your going to make your Evo have that rumble they have.

 

try the greddy ti-c, check youtube. just type in the name of the exhaust and evo

 

Eric, you can hear different exhausts at the dcevoclub BBQ next Saturday. There is someone on dcevoclub selling a Buschur downpipe, high flow cat and exhaust pretty cheap, so you should definitely consider that to save money.

 

You want their sound? Swap the 4G63 for a VQ35DE.

 

I'd go with Borla or Magnaflow. They specialize in American exhaust and will give you a deep tone your looking for. I plan on going with one or the other.
