With or without meth
With or without meth
I'm looking into meth. My question is would meth be worth it with my mods without cams? Would i see any noticable gains maybe not dyno numbers but would i feel the difference? And then get a dyno tune with meth? Or should i just do a mail in flash for the mods that i have now, then do the meth when i get cams?
Thanks for any help.
Mods:
Custom 3" downpipe catless, HKS carbon Ti catback
Injen upper/lower intercooler pipes
Injen intake pipe with K&N filter
APS twin vent BOV
255lph fuel pump
Hallman manual boost controller (defi boost gauge)
Thanks for any help.

You dont need cams on a IX to run meth... I made 438 with stock cams, stock o2 and no porting...
As far as tuning thats something I can do for you. We can do a custom tune for pump gas and another custom tune with the meth. $150 the first tune and 1/2 price for future retunes.
Cheers!

Is that kind of power reailable with meth though? I'm looking for a nice, pretty fast car thats not going to blow up or lessen the life of the car.
I would like to get my car tuned by you. Im in new jersey though, it's a distance from you or really from anywhere that tunes Evos. sean ivey and turbo trix is even like 3.5 hours away.. so its hopeless

I am a meth addict  I love it.
It can be dangerous if you tune for meth as your extra fuel, since it is not too hard to run out, but... you could get a stuck injector too, and blow your engine up that way. I run a 500cc nozzle on the neon, and I get 0.0 KR on the street or race tune. Its amazing. Expect a bit of a torque spike with it though, so it may be mean on a stock clutch.

If you choose to do meth injection, it will be the best bang for you buck especially with the mods you have already done to your car. With your IX you will easily be able to push the stock turbo close to 30psi + ( if you choose to). 4ws was implying you do an email flash through his services with ecuflash. There are others as well that provide the same service like Mellon, TTP and others. I think TTP is the least expensive and is very reputable. But really I would make the trip down to Ivey if you can. As far as fail safes for reliability there are plenty. But, there is always that "what if" with meth so you never know.

With a failsafe and wideband "what if's" are down to a minimum =-)

Shoot me a pm or call me at 305-979-TUNE and i'll explain the custom e-flash method and how effective road tuning your car is. Power all depends on how aggresive you want the car and how much meth you'd like to spray, we'll go through all the options to see whats best for you.
Cheers!

Our trader feedback, tuner poll votes and service and review section member reviews speak for themselves.
Today alone we tuned RyuTurbo to 432whp/455tq on our MUSTANG DYNO on meth. Tommorrow we move onto Most-Wanted's 2006 RS so he may bump his record 11.00 @ 125mph into his goal of 10's as we located a boost leak today another shop neglected to address.
Previously on the stock cams on his Evo IX, our tuning put RyuTurbo #2-3 on the stock turbo records list for 2008 with an 11.3 @120mph+.
Imagine what he will run now.
If you tune somewhere in person. Sean at Iveytune would be the place to be.
Otherwise, invest in a tuner with impeccable feedback ratings with a track record of a majority of meth injected stock turbo Evo's for 2008. Investigate in the companies your dealing with. Having an AWD dyno on site speaks volumes about their dedication to tuning. Make sure they are licensed and insured to work on your vehicle in this type of field. Companies like IveyTune meet all of this criteria.
