Evo WHOA moment.

So this thread is for evo drivers that notice other people looking at their car like this

Here is my story: i was eating chipotle with a couple of buddies and i just got the evo X GSR the night b4 from the dealership. I was looking out at my car and i see 3 old guys just staring at my car. They did the walk around and put their heads up to the glass. When they started doing that. i freaked out and ran outside.

i introduced myself as the evo driver and we talked about the car for a while. one guy said " gots as much horsepower as a mustang GT but weights less" i replied with "also got have the engine too " so one guy said this was the first one hes ever seen on the road. man do i feel special!!!!!!

on a side note: i drove a 95 minivan before this, not much attention there

so we said our good byes, and i went back inside to my friends again. These kids come inside and whisper is that a lancer. then one kid goes oO no its an EVO X! i was about to say yupp sure is an evo! but i didnt hahah

but. evo is sucha social magnet, its awesomeeeeee

Its usually just after I wash my car that people like to eye**** my car. I remember I just went to the gas station and I had about 5 people staring at my car. And every now and then I'll get somebody driving across the intersection and the whole car full of people will turn to look at me. and then more times at gas stations (i spend a lot of time there) people will be like "is that your car"..."yes sir"...."very nice, dude".

i've strangely never had negative attention towards my car. I've only been followed by a cop once and that one time I totally knew he was gonna do it before he made that illegal u-turn.

I had a car full of guys (Integra) follow me for about 3 miles to my house to talk about the car I was driving ... it was my friend's R33 though. Not the Evo. No one has really gone nuts over the Evo.

Going from minivan to Evo is quite a jump haha. Its funny when I see people just stare because I know they have never seen my car before. Getting the occasional "nice car" is nice to hear.

There are few to none Evo's in my area.

A lot of people have no idea wtf it is.

Mostly muscle cars around here. They think it's just a 4 banger Lancer with a wing and body kit.

That is until I do a nice pull on them

I get at least one compliment on my car a day from people all ages and sexes.

The other day I was at Wendy's and this little kid got out of the car with his dad and said "Daddy look it's a race car!"

That made me smile

BTW, Chipolte FTW!

I have the "ppl Staring" problem all the time.

One guy even rear ended someone because they were too busy staring at my car. it was quite amusing.

there have also been several occasions when i've been followed home. I once got followed to an ex boyfriends house.

I've only seen one Evo X on the road and one on a transport truck, so I'll occasionally stare if I see one on the road.

I get plenty of stares when I drive around my jeep cherokee with the doors off...

The only people who ever look at my car are young guys driving regular lancers.

I used to get people looking and giving me ALL the time when I first bought my car. Now.. not so much.. buuut.. whenever I'm stopped at a light people always seem to be attracted to the brembos lol. Everyone always stares at them.

I have people come up to me and ask me if it is mine. I guess since I turn "60" next month they think it belongs to one of my kids.
