Evo 8 Exhaust
Hey guys. im kind of new to the whole evo experience. i have had my 8 for about 2 weeks now.. i so for got that $400 HKS intake for free from a friend. i havent installed it yet, just waiting for other bolt ons so i can do a tune at the same time.. I am looking for a good quality sounding Turbo BAck exhaust that performs.. Any Suggestions.. I was also wondering if u can get the exhaust with a whole for a wideband sensor. so far i was looking at megan tbe and Turbo Xs
you have to have the bung welded into the exhaust. you need to search this site for exhaust threads because there are countless ones and there is plenty with pictures
I have the BR TBE, it is very loud, but a little raspy at idle. Over all I like it, I was wanting a little deeper sound, but I do enjoy the sound under power so Ill keep it.
The ebay exhaust acctually doesn't sound bad at all and from my experiance, fitment is pretty good too. - about the cheapest
Vishnu (sp error im sure) sounds really nice and deep at idle but in my opinion gets a little raspy under power. - one of the more expensive ones
There are a lot of post about this topic, but the best way to find one you like is to go out to some meets and listen to some cars. Utube has videos etc, but its not the same till you hear it in person.
Most of them do not have the O2 bung, but pm KevinD, EvolutionDynamics he can set you up with a time and we can put it in (I weld for him, and work with him regulary on cars) We are in DFW, but can do the work if you need it done.

If you're looking for a reasonable priced turboback exhaust that has good quality, looks good, and sounds good.....Then I would go for the AMS 3 inch turboback with the test pipe. Its going price is $849.00+shipping on amsperformance.com. All the best!
